Privacy Policy (Toolbox)
This is supplementary privacy information for a subdomain of JLE Systems (toolbox.jle.systems). In accordance with Section 10 of the main Privacy Policy, the following specific provisions take precedence for this specific service (the web tools and generators).
1. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for processing is Ing. Julian Lamplmair (JLE Systems). Full contact details can be found in the Legal Notice.
2. 100% Local Data Processing (Client-Side)
All tools (such as the tournament bracket generator) are designed as pure browser applications. All form inputs (e.g., player or team names) and the generation of the PDF files take place exclusively locally within the browser. None of this content data is transmitted to any servers, stored there, or otherwise processed.
3. Hosting & Content Delivery Network (Cloudflare)
This subdomain is hosted via Cloudflare Pages. In order to deliver the website to the browser in a technically secure and performant manner, the server temporarily processes standard connection data by default (e.g., IP address, date/time of access, browser type).
Legal Basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure provision of the website). Further details can be found in Section 3 of the main Privacy Policy.
4. Functional Storage (Local Storage, Session Storage & History API)
No analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies are used on this toolbox. Instead, only technically necessary browser storage mechanisms are used:
localStorageis used to store the selected language, intentionally durable local tool data, and short-lived fallback records used for technical restoration flows. This currently includes in particular the “Time” tool (e.g. work time data, settings, and view preferences), the “Liquidity” tool (e.g. profiles, subscriptions, and related settings), and mirrored fallback data for scroll and navigation restoration.sessionStorageis used only for temporary technical information for the current session or browser tab. This includes in particular scroll and navigation restoration data, private per-tool view state, and, in the “Gameplan” tool, temporary board snapshots so the current tournament state can survive internal page changes within the same session.- The History API is used to manage internal keys per browser history entry and to update certain URL states without a full page reload. This is used in particular for consistent back/forward navigation, scroll restoration, and tool-specific state reflected in URL parameters.
- In addition, the applications use service workers and browser cache storage (
Cache Storage) to keep tool-scoped HTML pages, assets, and already visited or background-warmed routes available offline. Depending on the size of a tool, not every possible sub-route is fully stored in advance; additional routes may only become available offline after they were visited or technically warmed up.
These storage operations are used solely to provide the requested service locally in the browser with the expected functionality. They are technically necessary within the meaning of § 165 para. 3 TKG 2021. A cookie banner is not required for this.
5. Integration of External Services and Interfaces (APIs)
To provide extended features and up-to-date data in our tools, we occasionally integrate external interfaces (APIs) from third-party providers.
The requests to these interfaces are made directly by your browser (client-side). For technical reasons, your IP address and standard connection data (e.g., browser type, date/time) are transmitted to the servers of the respective third-party providers so they can return the requested data to your browser.
Commitment to Data Minimization: During these requests, only the parameters strictly necessary for data retrieval (such as the code of the selected base currency) are sent to the external service. At no point are sensitive or personal form data (such as names you entered, specific monetary amounts, or descriptions of your entries) transmitted to these providers.
Currently, the following external interfaces are used:
- ExchangeRate-API (
open.er-api.com): To query daily exchange rates (e.g., for the “Liquidity” tool). During the query, only the selected base currency (e.g., “EUR”) is transmitted in order to load the appropriate conversion rates.
Legal Basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing functional, error-free, and up-to-date web tools).
